BPHA Caucus Seeks Community Input for 2022 People's Budget
ALBANY, NY (November 12, 2021) – The Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Asian Legislative Caucus (Caucus) is soliciting public input from community-based organizations and advocacy groups on ‘The People’s Budget FY 2022.’This document will outline fiscal and policy priorities of the Caucus for the upcoming FY 2022- 23 budget.
As part of an inclusive public involvement plan, the Caucus is requesting that organizations submit their legislative priorities as well as photos and testimony of New Yorkers impacted by these policies.
“With the 2022 legislative session around the corner, the Caucus is positioning itself for an effective year that will expand upon our gains and yield tangible improvements for BIPOC communities across NYS,” stated Michaelle C. Solages, Chair of the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Asian Legislative Caucus. “To that end, we are working on creating an inclusive and community-driven document that is reflective of our constituencies while underscoring the vital policies that New Yorkers need to advance equitably.”
