ALBANY, NY (July 3, 2025) – “Congress has passed a budget that manages to do the worst of everything all at once. New Yorkers now get to watch as the federal government throws more money at ICE to tear immigrant families apart, slashes SNAP so more people go hungry, and guts healthcare so getting sick is even more dangerous, all while protecting polluters and the ultra wealthy.
This isn’t fiscal responsibility. It’s cruelty dressed up as policy. New Yorkers deserve better than a budget that punishes working families.
