As the Governor stated, we have much more work ahead to enhance the safety of state correctional facilities. Even with this progress, we recognize this measure alone cannot erase the profound injustice Robert Brooks and so many others have suffered. Our work is not complete. We must continue to fight to provide justice and rehabilitation for incarcerated New Yorkers.”
